Welcome to this immersive course, where we embark on a profound journey of self-discovery and acceptance as we explore the transformative power of self-compassion and mindfulness.

Through this acceptance of our humanity—acknowledging the imperfections that make us uniquely human—we unlock the gateway to true freedom and happiness. It is within the folds of self-compassion that we discover the healing power of embracing our vulnerabilities and charting a course towards genuine contentment. Join us on this liberating exploration where the key to our freedom and happiness lies in the embrace of our authentic selves.

Over these eight weeks we will foster the following techniques and enquiries.

  1. Communication: How do we communicate with our selves?
    • Foster open, honest, curious, compassionate communication.
    • Listen to ourselves to understand
  2. Empathy: To bring compassion and kindness towards my experience
    • Acknowledging the feelings and experiences.
    • Learning to bring empathy during both joys and challenges.
  3. Quality Time: Creating time specifically for developing my own relationship through practice.
    • Investing time in my own practice.
    • It doesn’t matter if you sit for 15 minutes or a hour but that we commit to this for ourselves. I always like the analogy of training for a Marathon, we wouldn’t just decide I am going to run a marathon and be able to do that the next day. It takes a consistency of practice and commitment to get to the twenty six miles. This journey to ourselves is the same.
  4. Trust: To learn trust within ourselves
    • Build and maintain trust through showing up for yourself and developing the ability to be able to hold the difficulty within ourselves without needing to distract ourselves and to hold it with tenderness.
    • Trust is the foundation of strong relationship to ourselves. If I can offer myself my own understanding, forgiveness, acceptance it allows me to show up in the world as I am more and more.
  5. Support: Learn how I can take care of myself wisely
    • You will learn to recognise the areas of life that are triggering and how you can support yourself in these moments. Our relationship to our world changes as our relationship to ourselves grows.
  6. Boundaries: Knowing what my needs are and how to meet them for myself
    • Understanding what is it that I need and learning the tools to be able to develop them.
    • To be able to communicate our needs and to avoid misunderstandings.
  7. Conflict Resolution: The greater we can learn to understand our own internal conflict the more we can navigate external conflict
    • Developing the skill to say what your experience is in an open way curious to the situation. Moving away from blame. Accepting that sometimes even if the intention wasn’t for harm, harm has occurred. Acknowledging that, allowing that.
  8. Appreciation: Recognising the joy that is already here
    • When we can learn to not suppress our experience we allow the natural moments of joy and humour to be here

Remember, growing our relationship to ourselves is an ongoing process. Regularly reflecting on and investing in your connection can significantly contribute to a happier and more fulfilling life.
